I looked at the copper cord without taking the machine apart and it appeared fine. Touch panel is malfunctioning. Press panel control on the touch screen. Press the fax icon on the lcd to display the led icons on the touch panel.

The led icons on the touch panel will turn off when you press the home icon. Go back to step 6 and try again. If the screen does not respond correctly when you touch a key the machine does not perform the operation or performs a different operation follow the steps below to make the proper adjustments. But in this case the lcd screen is blank and showing nothing so i can not set to any wifi id at all.

It was at that point i noticed that the lcd screen is broken. The back light shows for a moment after i turn the printer on and all that appears in the display are solid vertical bars.
